Municipality of Corvo approves €4.5 million budget for 2026

The Municipal Chamber of Corvo has approved the Municipal Budget for 2026, amounting to €4.5 million, a document that defines the main lines of investment and development for the coming year.

According to the municipal executive, this budget was prepared with a focus on the continuity of strategic projects, the improvement of infrastructure, and the promotion of the population’s quality of life, without the need to resort to debt to implement the planned investments.

Among the main areas covered in the document are interventions in the Municipal Market, the road network, the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), and the establishment of a business incubator, projects considered strategic for the island’s economic and social development.

The budget also includes investments in essential areas such as environmental sustainability, service modernisation, and territorial development, in line with the Municipality’s objectives for sustainable growth.

The municipal executive emphasises that this financial plan ensures stability, investment capacity, and responsiveness to the population’s needs, reinforcing the Municipality’s commitment to progress and the well-being of Corvo’s residents.

With this budget, the Municipality of Corvo aims to continue implementing key projects for the island’s future, promoting better living conditions, greater economic dynamism, and balanced and responsible public management.
