The Casa da Vegia is part of the physical network of the Corvo Ecomuseum, located in the historic centre of Vila do Corvo, in a privileged position overlooking the cliff above Porto da Casa, with connections to Canada da Rocha and Rua da Matriz.
Restored by the Ecomuseum, this space serves as an observation point over the historic urban core of Vila do Corvo, allowing visitors to interpret its unique layout, which cascades down the volcanic slope.
Inside, visitors will find a scale model of the village’s historic centre, offering an introduction to understanding the territory and its various public spaces, and serving as a gateway to discovering Corvo’s heritage.
More than an exhibition space, Casa da Vegia functions as a point of orientation and interpretation of the island, often representing the visitor’s first contact with the heritage narrative of the Corvo Ecomuseum.
